The Wedding Dress

Three months have passed and until now I am still fascinated by the looks of my wedding dress. As I browsed through my wedding albums, I couldn't help myself but stare at my wedding gown for moment. I never regret my desicion in asking the designer Joshua Guibone for making such a wonderful creation.

The gown is made of stretchable tulle with lace appliqué. The belt is fully-beaded.
The 50 meters ruffles are sewed in three layers organza fabric.

The gown was a bit heavy. Just try to imagine yourself carrying 50 meter of cloth...But gladly I was able to pull it off during my Big Day.

I may not have a perfect built and slender body, but i guess this is the only dress that suits for me nonetheless.

The Pressure is Mine

My eyes, close to having astigmatism (I bet), are now getting weak and heavy. I got drained. Yesterday, I arrived home from work at around eight o'clock in the morning however my eyes did not feel tired nor any signs of drowsiness. Usually, I lay myself to bed at around ten o'clock in the morning, then the next thing I know it's already six thirty in the evening whenever my alarm snoozes. Eight hours of sleep, for me, is already heaven. Who wouldn't want it anyways? But yesterday was different. Damn! I haven't had enough sleep...uhmm, let me rephrase it ~ I wasn't able to sleep at all!. A roaring noise of chainsaw, big boom of trunks falling on the ground (feels like earthquake for a second) disturbed my eardrums as group of people were somewhat busy at cutting trees for their purpose. Their operation happened just right behind our backyard. *..Boo..* I was surprised and irritated! Buhay  pa pala mga chain saw ngayun. I wish chainsaws have silencers. Gawwd, if only!

While I'm writing this post, I am wearing my headset on waiting for a call to come in... *Beep* Arghh...Imagine how hard it is to manage a call when eyes almost wanna give up. That is what I am feeling right now. I feel that my body is deteriorating. I ended up browsing  websites about tranquilizers. I thought of it as my possible last option for sleep disorder. If they would resume their operations today, i would definitely consider taking up drugs!

Wait...what am I talking here? Am not even sure if you all could relate to what I am talking about? What i am trying to say is that... I'M TIRED! 'Yun lang naman. :'(. I am now deprived of having good sleep especially during rest days. *frown*. This has been my on-going drama for a couple of weeks now. When I complained about not getting enough sleep, my boyfriend's common response is : "daghan man jud ka ug gina-hunahuna"....MY POINT, EXACTLY! Who would not think of an upcoming wedding that would happen in 45 days time?
"When I am anxious it is because I am living in the future. When I am depressed it is because I am living in the past"   ~ Unknown
I reserve my two days off for appointments, walking around divisoria, meet ups with designer, talk to coordinator, obtaining flower girls body measurement..and..*catching my breath* STOP! *insert feeling of anxiety here* two days are not enough! Honestly, I could not finish one wedding recipe in a day. There are some lacking ingredients at the end of the day only waiting for approvals. So logically, if we could only work on our preparations during two rest days in the seven weeks remaining then it simply means that we only have fourteen days to finish what needs to be done?!...Now we're doomed!

I was once reminded by my friend, Josh, not to get too tied up with my emotions. Relax, take it easy, everything will fall into place... that's what they say. But I'm impulsive, i know! In fact, I was warned that days of anxiety would really come that you wouldn't know what to do. Well, that is exactly what i am feeling right now. I'm pressured!

I blame myself for not getting right amount of sleep. As a result of feeling restless, i told my partner about my emotional status at the moment (considering my insensitivity at times, being heartless and not minding the consequences). He then assured me that I could leave it all to him and that he would take responsibility of whatever's lacking with the preparation.  His replies made me get back to my consciousness. I told my self, "it's time to get down to business.. This is not the appropriate time para mag OA".

27th Year on Earth

Today marks an important day of my life. It is the 27th year of my existence. I am born Pisces™ (where blog title derived from) Another chapter of living life like a whirlwind. It's not easy to survive, I must say. I have gone a long way but haven't noticed that I'm already in my late 20's. Gosshh! Where was I all the while? I must have been wandering all this time. I must have fallen in between. Fallen... Fallen in Love...Ngeeeh...**corny**. Maybe, Yes! Being in a relationship for 4 years is long enough. I haven't noticed the time that went by so fast. Indeed, I enjoyed the love life. When I was only 26 years old, i told myself, "I'm still young"... still young because it's not my marrying age. But now that I turned 27, i found myself old. Yikesss! It's just another year added but find it weird that I'm older. Is this a midlife crisis or I just wanted to get married? Lol!

I knew that this day would become usual, just like my ordinary days. I work 5 days a week and take 2 days off. Sadly, my birthday did not happen to fall on a Wednesday. It's not payday. Bad timing. I chose not to file a vacation leave. Vacation Leave slots were already taken and it's too late to make a move. It's too obvious. Hahaha. I even intentionally hid my Birthday on Facebook! I didn't like my friends to be notified. It's more of selfish reasons. (Like..not the right time para manglibre. Bleh!). More often that not, I do not celebrate my birthday with a bonggang-bonggang party!

Let me share with you one birthday that I had few years ago, when I was 18. It's a birthday all girls have been dreaming of to celebrate ~ their 18th birthday. This was a part of my life that hasn't been shared with my friends. Probably because it was not worth sharing for or my 18th birthday was considered insignificant. I'd say, Both! On my 18th birthday, my late grandmother died. She was ill then and bed ridden and parang hinihintay nalang na mamatay. Of all the dates in February, why took her life on the 23rd? Not only that, my late uncle's death anniversary is every February 23. Now, you tell me? Was it appropriate to celebrate my birthday then? I did not experience wearing those glittery pink dresses and dance with 18 roses? blow my candles on cakes? and dance in cotillion? like an average teenager has experienced. Blahblahblah.. Ughh, Good thing my parents could not afford to throw me a party because I couldn't imagine myself celebrating it and somehow thankful it did not happen. I swear! I couldn't stand a mushy-mushy party. It won't suit me well. Had it been celebrated at that time it could have been a Lechon party. Hahahah. Just kidding.

For the past few months, I have been very busy. I am preoccupied with appointments here and there all for the wedding preparations. Here I go again...Wedding! This is mainly the reason why I did not give much importance to celebrate my birthday. Well, birthdays come every year but the wedding will only happen once in my whole life. Though this reason is super lame but I choose to embrace this idea. I will just have to make bawi in the coming years. May the good Lord God bless me with more years to come and I should be thankful for giving me another year to enjoy my stay on earth.

My heart was overwhelmed after receiving a lot of birthday greetings. Despite hiding my birthday on FB, my friends still "remembered" it. Though I haven't celebrated my birthday like the usual ones I had, still I'm very thankful for another year. It does not necessarily follow that birthdays have to be "bibo". Celebration comes in different ways. For me, a simple celebration is enough.
After my shift, me and my boyfriend headed to Missy Bonbon - Limketkai, for an early breakfast date. Then, we went home. As soon as I arrived home, I rushed to my room and gave myself a rest! Wheeww!

Rest-Date!

I could never be more thankful to my partner for treating me to a late lunch after meeting up several appointments. Yesterday was my rest day after a very tiring 5 days of work. When being asked of where particularly I'd want to eat that would satisfy my appetite, I said Gerry's Grill. I wanted to reward ourselves from what we have accomplished through out the day.

This original pinoy restaurant is located at the ground floor of Robinson's Mall, Limketkai, Cagayan de Oro City. This branch just opened last July 2011. Yesterday was our third time to enjoy their delectable dishes.

Tokwa't Baboy & Blue Marlin Steak
Yummy food served on the table. Reggie ordered tofu and blue marlin while i ordered tangigue kilaw
Tables unoccupied since it was already 3pm when we ate lunch

We only paid Php 669.00. Just right into our budget. We were soooo full and absolutely satisfied with the distinct taste of such delicious dishes. I could already consider this resto as part of my "binabalik-balikan" list. (Of course, #1 pa rin si JOLLIBEE). Hahahaha.
